Failed Mariner.
I spent time staring at
the ocean and sensing
its heave, at night too
I gazed at the sea, “night
and day, you’re my love,”
now wasn’t there a song?
sent ashore, bad reports,
unsociable, speaks to no one,
doesn’t play cards
