Norwegian travel

Norwegian Travel

No restaurant car
and the train journey was long.
A girl, with a trolley,
sold sweet cakes and soft drinks,
I mixed whisky in my coke
to lessen the ennui.
A scowling conductor came,
red face and stern voice,
against the regulation.
Train stopped on the flatland
and I had a long walk home.
