Arabic poem
“Passaram” (year 979)
by al-RADI BI-LLAH
The Long Walk
When evening without
Warning falls
My wandering has
Lit a fire, my heart
Is ablaze.
It is not strange
Ones desire increases
As one walks,
Growing thirst,
There is vision of water.
