Meaning of Life
Man was made
to till the soil
plant seed and harvest,
but also, go to war;
now with much time
on hand
we do culture
think it is important;
paint nature
in unnatural colours,
invent drama,
like life shouldn’t
be enough, and try to
catch the murmur
of the wind with
poetic words,
while we ache
to swing a sword
show courage,
die on
the battle field,
not pale faced
expire
on a white
institutional sheet.
