Appreciating Nature
Only man appreciate nature,
what does a camel or a donkey
know about beauty? If a camel
has got sand under its hooves,
coarse grass and thorny bushes
to chew it doesn’t look misty
eyed when sun sets and sighs.
Likewise the donkey, soft grass
and black ploughed soil to walk
on, and a shady carob tree to rest
under, it doesn’t turn to a jenny
and say: “Isn’t a beautiful day?”
