uncanny likeness

Uncanny Likeness

There was a portrait
of Hitler as a young man,
on the manager’s office wall,
this prompted me to
say was a Hassidic Jew,
he sighed and said;
“We all have our crosses to bear.”
Gave me the job,
he did as a cook in his café,
explained to me that
the picture was of his
granddad who
just happed to be
a painter too, who turned
life into stillness.
