The end of shanty

Death of Shanty

The bubbles
you see
in the calm sea
are unsung
shanties
waiting in vain
for a brig,
bark or
schooner
with sailors
singing
about dames
in mystic ports,
wine and
tropical nights,
but the bubbles
will
burst unvoiced,
crewless
containership
hasting across
the ocean
have no time
to waste on
trivialities.
