The Inebriate (Tanka Style)
He shivered
Melancholy of soberness
Looked cold too
Gave him an army overcoat
He was grateful for that
Many weeks later
Sad look gone, he was drunk
Called me a poofter
No, I wasn’t infuriated
Philanthropy is easy.
