Evening.

The sky is pale blue and afar, a few dank clouds
hang about, too frozen to move; twilight walks
across the land and soon the ruin across the road
will look mysterious and unsold.

Work, done, hours of dreams have only produced
a few meager words, looking tiny and trite on paper;
there is no escape only a lines between me and
the cold enormity of the winter sky.
