girl in park

Girl In Park.

She sat there on a bench, the wench
An empty plastic bag and a mobile
Phone that didn’t, ring by her side,
Hot her feet, she had danced to five,
Many kisses but now her sailor had
Left and she had waved good by and
Cried as his ship sailed down Hudson
River. All she wanted now was for
Him to ring and say he loved her,
Before going home to her mum to
Tell her that she was engaged to get
Married to a sailor.
